Need-Based

Need-based scholarships are financial aid awards where the student and family's financial situation is the main factor in awarding the scholarship. Many of these scholarships will cover any difference between other aid received and the family's EFC. But they are not always 100% need-based: very often even these scholarships require the awardees to be high academic achievers.
